These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of QuietLog, operated by Couch Potato Co., Ltd. (株式会社Couch Potato, hereinafter “the Company”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
QuietLog is a documentation tool that helps tenants record neighborhood disturbances and generate reports. QuietLog is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
2. Disclaimer
Reports and complaint letters generated by QuietLog are documentation tools, not legal documents. Decibel readings are approximate measurements from smartphone microphones and should not be considered equivalent to professional sound level meters. Users should consult a qualified attorney for legal advice specific to their situation.
3. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you record
- You agree not to use QuietLog to file false or fraudulent complaints
- You must comply with applicable local laws regarding recording
4. Subscription & Billing
Free accounts have unlimited incident recording. PDF reports are available for $4.99 each or unlimited with a Pro subscription at$9.99/mo. All payments are processed via Stripe. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Refunds are available within 48 hours of purchase. PDF single reports are digital goods and are non-refundable once generated.
5. AI-Generated Content
Complaint letters generated by AI are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the content before sending. The Company is not responsible for outcomes resulting from the use of AI-generated content.
6. Limitation of Liability
QuietLog is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The Company is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this service, including but not limited to the outcome of any disputes or legal proceedings.
7. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the Service, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may proceed to litigation.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
9. Jurisdiction
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the Tokyo District Court (東京地方裁判所), and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of such court.
